Homemade Blueberry Liqueur

Homemade Blueberry Liqueur:
(3 month process)

24 ounces (1 1/2 - 16oz bags) organic, frozen blueberries
2 cups vodka (I like Grey Goose but any vodka will work)
2 peeled lemons
2 whole cloves
1 1/4 cups sugar syrup

Let the blueberries completely thaw out in the bags. Pour berries and any juice from the bags into a large bowl. Crush them with a fork, and pour them into a 1-liter jar. Using a vegetable peeler, peel both lemons. Add vodka, lemon peels and cloves. Cover the jar with it's cap and steep for 2 months, in a dark, cool location (refrigerator is ok). Shake gently every couple of days to prevent the liqueur from settling.

After roughly 2 months, strain and filter the mixture. Add the sugar syrup to the liqueur and age for at least 1 month. When bottling, filter again. Keep the liqueur in the refrigerator. Serve over ice with fresh blueberries.

Note: If the taste is too strong for your liking, add a touch of lemonade.
